Track 3 Skiing
Pine Ridge welcomes and makes its facilities available to the Ontario Track 3 Ski Association throughout the winter. Track 3 is a volunteer non-profit organization that gives children and youth living with mental and physical disabilities the opportunity to learn to downhill ski. Pine Ridge is proud to be a participant in giving youth “the freedom to fly”.
2007 marks the 15th year Pine Ridge has been a sponsor for Track 3, and we are proud of our contributions to this programme over the years. We started with four students and nine instructors, and have since grown to nine students and sixteen instructors. The students have always been very positive of the programme, sentiments which have been reinforced by the fact that all participants have chosen to continue each year. Our success is due to the desire of the students to learn, coupled with the enthusiasm and skill of our volunteer instructors and assistants to encourage them to keep at it, along with the support of the Pine Ridge executive and members. We again thank you!
We do need new volunteers to train as instructors or to help as assistants. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Martin Hambrock or Steve Hayes by email or at the phone numbers below. We hope to hear from you!
